These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of www.promotezimbabwe.com, including account registration, advertising, browsing listings, contacting advertisers, purchasing promotional services, and using any other features provided through our website.
In these terms, “Promote Zimbabwe,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Promote Zimbabwe. “User,” “you,” and “your” refer to anyone who visits, registers with, or uses our website.
By accessing our website, registering an account, posting an advert, or using our services, you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions, together with our Privacy Policy and any additional rules applicable to specific services.
If you do not agree with these terms, please discontinue using the website.
2. Purpose of Promote Zimbabwe
Promote Zimbabwe provides an online platform where users can advertise products and services, discover available offers, and communicate with potential buyers or sellers.
The platform may include categories such as:
- Vehicles and automotive products.
- Houses, land, rentals, and other property.
- Electronics and mobile phones.
- Furniture and household goods.
- Fashion, clothing, and accessories.
- Business services and professional services.
- Jobs and recruitment advertisements.
- Agricultural products and equipment.
- Other permitted goods and services.
The availability of categories and features may change as the website develops.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, Promote Zimbabwe acts as a classifieds and advertising platform. We do not directly own, inspect, manufacture, or sell products advertised by independent users, and we do not automatically become a party to transactions between buyers and sellers.
3. Eligibility to Use the Website
To use Promote Zimbabwe, you must:
- Be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement.
- Provide accurate information when registering or using the platform.
- Have the authority to advertise any products, services, or property you list.
- Comply with applicable Zimbabwean laws and other laws that apply to your activities.
- Use the platform for lawful and legitimate purposes.
Where a person under 18 is permitted to use a service under applicable law, appropriate parental or guardian involvement may be required.
We reserve the right to restrict access where a user does not meet the applicable eligibility requirements.
4. Registration and User Accounts
Certain features may require you to register an account.
When creating an account, you agree to provide truthful, accurate, complete, and up-to-date information.
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- Keeping your account information accurate.
- Using your account lawfully.
- Not impersonating another person or business.
- Not creating accounts for fraudulent, abusive, or deceptive purposes.
- Notifying us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
You must not use another person’s account without appropriate authorisation.
Promote Zimbabwe may suspend, restrict, or terminate an account where there is reasonable evidence of fraud, impersonation, security threats, or violations of these terms, subject to applicable law.
5. Posting Advertisements
Promote Zimbabwe allows registered users to publish advertisements for permitted products and services, subject to the features available on the website.
When submitting an advert, you confirm that:
- You have the right to advertise the item or service.
- Your advert contains accurate and truthful information.
- Your photographs and descriptions fairly represent the item or service.
- Your stated price and conditions are not misleading.
- You have the necessary permissions to use any photographs, logos, or other content included in the listing.
- Your advert complies with applicable laws and these Terms and Conditions.
You are responsible for the content of your advertisements, including their accuracy, legality, and continued relevance.
We may remove, reject, edit, or restrict an advert where reasonably necessary to address misleading information, prohibited content, complaints, security concerns, or legal requirements.
6. Unlimited Advert Posting
Promote Zimbabwe may provide registered users with the opportunity to post unlimited advertisements, subject to the applicable account features and platform rules.
Unlimited posting is intended to help users promote their products and services without unnecessary restrictions on the number of legitimate listings they can publish.
However, unlimited posting does not permit abuse of the platform.
Users must not:
- Flood the website with repetitive or duplicate adverts.
- Publish misleading listings to manipulate search results.
- Repeatedly repost prohibited advertisements.
- Use automated systems to overload or disrupt the website without authorisation.
- Create multiple accounts to evade legitimate restrictions.
- Use adverts to distribute spam or fraudulent content.
Promote Zimbabwe may introduce reasonable anti-spam measures, posting rules, or technical limits to protect the platform and its users.
Any material changes affecting existing paid services will be handled in accordance with the relevant service terms and applicable law.
7. Accuracy of Advertisements
Advertisers must ensure that their listings are accurate and not misleading.
Advertisements should include relevant information such as:
- Product or service name.
- Description and specifications.
- Condition of the item, where applicable.
- Price or applicable pricing terms.
- Location or service area.
- Availability.
- Delivery or collection arrangements, where relevant.
- Any important limitations, defects, or additional charges.
Advertisers must update or remove listings when information changes or the advertised item is no longer available, where the website provides the relevant functionality.
Promote Zimbabwe does not guarantee that every listing has been independently verified.
8. Prohibited Products, Services, and Activities
Users must not advertise, offer, promote, or facilitate activities that are illegal or prohibited by our policies.
Prohibited content includes, but is not limited to:
- Stolen goods or property that the advertiser is not authorised to sell.
- Counterfeit products and goods that infringe intellectual property rights.
- Fraudulent offers, false claims, or deceptive commercial schemes.
- Illegal drugs and prohibited controlled substances.
- Weapons, explosives, or restricted items, except where expressly lawful and permitted by our policies.
- Human trafficking, exploitation, or other criminal activities.
- Fraudulent investment schemes or deceptive financial offers.
- Fake employment opportunities designed to obtain money or personal information unlawfully.
- Malware, phishing links, and other harmful digital content.
- Advertisements containing unlawful harassment, threats, or abusive material.
- Listings that violate another person’s privacy or intellectual property rights.
- Spam, fraudulent links, or content intended to disrupt the website.
Promote Zimbabwe may remove prohibited content, suspend advertising privileges, restrict accounts, or take other appropriate action.
Where appropriate or legally required, suspected unlawful activity may be reported to relevant authorities.
9. Prices, Payments, and Paid Advertising Services
Promote Zimbabwe may provide free advertising services and may also introduce paid features such as promoted listings, featured adverts, premium placements, or other advertising packages.
Where a service requires payment, the applicable price and conditions should be disclosed before the user commits to the purchase.
Users purchasing paid services agree to pay the applicable charges according to the stated payment terms.
Unless otherwise specified:
- Payment applies to the selected advertising service.
- Payment does not guarantee a sale, enquiry, lead, or specific business result.
- Paid adverts must comply with these terms.
- A paid advert may be removed if it violates our policies or applicable law.
- Refunds and cancellations are subject to the relevant service terms and applicable legal requirements.
Promote Zimbabwe may revise its pricing or introduce new paid services. Changes affecting existing paid commitments will be handled in accordance with the applicable agreement and law.
10. Featured Listings and Advertising Visibility
Promote Zimbabwe may offer promotional services intended to increase the visibility of selected advertisements.
These may include featured adverts, promoted listings, highlighted placements, or other advertising options.
Such services are intended to improve exposure but do not guarantee a particular search position, number of views, number of enquiries, or sale.
Advert visibility may depend on the selected service, category, website functionality, relevance, and other operational factors.
Promote Zimbabwe reserves the right to withdraw promotional placement for advertisements that breach these terms, subject to applicable refund obligations.
11. Responsibilities of Sellers and Advertisers
Sellers and advertisers are responsible for the products and services they offer through the platform.
You agree to:
- Provide honest descriptions and genuine photographs where applicable.
- Disclose relevant defects or limitations.
- State prices and charges accurately.
- Respond to customer enquiries professionally.
- Honour agreements you enter into with buyers.
- Ensure that goods and services comply with applicable laws.
- Arrange delivery, collection, warranties, and after-sales support as agreed.
- Handle refunds and complaints in accordance with your agreements and applicable law.
Promote Zimbabwe is not responsible for independently verifying every statement made by advertisers and does not guarantee the conduct or reliability of individual sellers.
12. Responsibilities of Buyers
Buyers are responsible for making informed decisions before entering into transactions.
We encourage buyers to:
- Read adverts carefully.
- Ask questions about the product or service.
- Confirm prices and payment terms.
- Verify the seller’s identity where reasonably possible.
- Inspect products before completing a transaction where practical.
- Confirm delivery and collection arrangements.
- Use secure payment methods where available.
- Avoid sharing unnecessary sensitive information.
- Report suspicious adverts or suspected scams.
Buyers should be cautious of offers that appear unusually attractive, sellers who refuse reasonable verification, and requests for immediate payment under pressure.
Nothing in these terms removes any rights buyers may have under applicable consumer protection laws.
13. Transactions Between Buyers and Sellers
Unless expressly stated otherwise, Promote Zimbabwe does not act as the buyer, seller, payment intermediary, delivery provider, or guarantor of transactions between users.
Transactions are generally conducted directly between the relevant buyer and seller.
The parties are responsible for agreeing on:
- The final price.
- Payment arrangements.
- Product condition and specifications.
- Collection or delivery.
- Warranties and after-sales service.
- Refunds, returns, and cancellation arrangements.
- Any other relevant terms.
Promote Zimbabwe does not guarantee the authenticity, quality, safety, legality, availability, or suitability of third-party products or services.
Users are encouraged to keep appropriate records of communications, payments, and agreements.
These provisions do not exclude obligations that Promote Zimbabwe or other parties cannot legally exclude.
14. Fraud Prevention and User Complaints
Promote Zimbabwe encourages users to report suspected fraud, misleading adverts, impersonation, prohibited goods, and other violations.
Reports can be sent to admin@promotezimbabwe.com.
Where possible, include the advert link, advertiser details, a description of the problem, and relevant supporting evidence.
We may review complaints, request additional information, contact the relevant parties, remove content, restrict accounts, or take other appropriate action.
Submitting a complaint does not guarantee removal of an advert or a particular outcome.
Promote Zimbabwe is not obliged to resolve every disagreement between buyers and sellers, but we may take reasonable action to protect users and the integrity of the platform.
15. Intellectual Property Rights
The Promote Zimbabwe name, logo, branding, website design, original content, and platform materials are owned by Promote Zimbabwe or the relevant rights holders, unless otherwise stated.
Users must not reproduce, modify, distribute, or commercially exploit protected materials without appropriate permission, except where permitted by law.
By uploading content to Promote Zimbabwe, you confirm that you own it or have permission to use it.
You retain ownership of your submitted content. However, you grant Promote Zimbabwe a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, reproduce, and distribute that content as reasonably necessary to operate the platform and promote the relevant listing through our services.
This licence is subject to applicable law, your rights concerning content removal, and our Privacy Policy.
Users must not upload photographs, logos, descriptions, or other material that infringes another person’s rights.
16. Privacy and Personal Information
Promote Zimbabwe respects users’ privacy and processes personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws.
We may collect information necessary to operate accounts, publish advertisements, provide support, maintain security, process payments where applicable, and improve our services.
Users must not misuse personal information obtained through the platform.
For more information about how we collect, use, store, disclose, and protect personal information, please review our Privacy Policy on www.promotezimbabwe.com.
Privacy enquiries can be directed to admin@promotezimbabwe.com.
17. Third-Party Websites and Services
Our website may contain links to external websites, social media services, payment providers, or other third-party platforms.
These services may operate independently of Promote Zimbabwe and may have their own terms, privacy policies, and security practices.
We do not control all third-party content or services. Users should review the applicable policies before using external services or sharing personal information with them.
The inclusion of a third-party link does not necessarily constitute an endorsement by Promote Zimbabwe.
18. Website Availability and Maintenance
Promote Zimbabwe aims to provide a reliable and accessible platform. However, uninterrupted operation cannot be guaranteed.
The website may occasionally be unavailable because of:
- Scheduled maintenance.
- Technical faults.
- Hosting or internet service interruptions.
- Cybersecurity incidents.
- Software updates.
- Circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue features where reasonably necessary to maintain or improve the platform, address security risks, or comply with applicable law.
Where a change materially affects an existing paid service or contractual commitment, we will handle it in accordance with the applicable terms and legal obligations.
19. Account Suspension and Termination
Promote Zimbabwe may suspend, restrict, or terminate an account or remove an advertisement where reasonably necessary, including where:
- A user breaches these terms.
- An advert appears fraudulent, illegal, or misleading.
- An account is used for harassment, impersonation, or abuse.
- A user repeatedly publishes prohibited content.
- There is evidence of unauthorised access or a security threat.
- Action is required by law or a competent authority.
Where appropriate and legally permissible, we may provide notice and an opportunity to respond or appeal.
Users who wish to close their accounts may contact admin@promotezimbabwe.com.
Account closure does not automatically remove information that must be retained for legal, security, accounting, or legitimate dispute-resolution purposes.
20. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
Promote Zimbabwe provides the classifieds platform on an “as available” basis, subject to applicable law.
We do not guarantee that every advertisement is genuine, accurate, complete, or independently verified. We also do not guarantee that users will complete transactions successfully or that advertisers will receive enquiries or sales.
To the extent permitted by law, Promote Zimbabwe is not responsible for losses arising from transactions between independent users, misleading third-party listings, or reliance on information that we have not independently verified.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by law, including applicable consumer rights and other non-excludable legal obligations.
Users remain responsible for conducting reasonable checks before entering into transactions.
21. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by applicable law, users are responsible for claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable expenses arising directly from their unlawful conduct, material breach of these terms, infringement of third-party rights, or misuse of the platform.
This provision does not apply to the extent that a claim or loss arises from conduct for which Promote Zimbabwe is legally responsible, and it does not override rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
22. Changes to These Terms and Conditions
Promote Zimbabwe may update these Terms and Conditions to reflect changes in its services, website features, business operations, or legal requirements.
Revised terms will be published on the website with an updated effective date where appropriate.
Where material changes require notice or fresh consent, we will take the steps required by applicable law.
Users are encouraged to review this page periodically.
23. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Zimbabwe, subject to mandatory legal requirements that apply.
If a dispute arises, users are encouraged to contact Promote Zimbabwe first so that the issue can be discussed and, where possible, resolved amicably.
Disputes that cannot be resolved through reasonable communication may be referred to the competent courts or other appropriate dispute-resolution mechanisms in Zimbabwe in accordance with applicable law.
Nothing in this section prevents users from exercising their statutory rights or seeking assistance from a relevant regulator or consumer protection body.
24. General Provisions
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
Failure to enforce a provision immediately does not necessarily constitute a waiver of the right to enforce it later.
These Terms and Conditions, together with our Privacy Policy and any applicable additional service terms, govern your use of Promote Zimbabwe.
Nothing in these terms creates a partnership, employment relationship, agency, or joint venture between Promote Zimbabwe and an independent user or advertiser.
